Green Machine

Start your day with fresh fruits and veggies straight from the garden or ( local produce store would suffice ). First you want to prepare by gathering any fruits and veggie that complement one another when blended or whatever best suits your taste buds. For this concoction we used an Omega NC900HDC Slow Mastication Juicer, which we prefer to use when juicing green leafy veggies or wheatgrass. This juicer tends to leave less foam and a good amount of juice, all while allowing the nutrients to remain present. (Link for Omega juicer below )

For the recipe we used the following

From the garden:

1. Fennel

2. Mint Leaves

3. Dinosaur (Lacinato) Kale

From produce store:

1. Pineapple

2. Celery

3. Granny Smith Apples

4. Lemons & Limes

5. Ginger

6. Oranges


You want to make sure to thoroughly clean the fruit and veggies from the yard to get rid of any tiny pest trying to linger around and also rinse the other fruit as well. Next cut everything into nice size pieces that would easily go down the chute of the juicer.

What results is a great tasting juice to give you the shot of energy you need during your busy day. Don't forget to add a bit of water to the final product to dilute it some (it is said that the sugars from the juicing of sugary fruits & vegetables can be a bit much on the body).
